REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION

JPMorgan Japanese Investment Trust plc has today purchased 242,653 ordinary shares for cancellation at 143.34 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 171,371,266.
