                 REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION


JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust plc today purchased 25,000 ordinary shares for
cancellation at 511.00 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 27,219,880.
