Transaction in Own Shs -Amend

JP Morgan Mid Cap Invest Trust PLC

The following replaces the 'Transaction in Own Shares' announcement released on
25th August 2006 at 17.08 under RNS Number 1490I.

Please note that 55,000 shares were purchased for cancellation (representing
0.18% of the ordinary shares in issue) and not 50,000 as previously stated.
Accordingly, 3,631,000 shares have been repurchased under the current authority
and the remaining shares in issue totals 30,508,000.

                     JPMORGAN MID CAP INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

                 REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION


JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust plc announces that today in the market it
purchased for cancellation 55,000 ordinary shares at 561.00 pence per share
representing 0.18% of the ordinary shares in issue.


The current repurchase authority for 5,117,436 shares was approved by
shareholders on 2nd November 2005.  To date 3,631,000 shares have been
repurchased under this authority.


The remaining shares in issue following this repurchase totals 30,508,000.
