The Board of JPMorgan Multi-Asset Trust plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce that after a thorough selection process undertaken with the assistance of Nurole it has decided to appoint Patrick Edwardson as an independent non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1^st October 2020. 

Patrick Edwardson had 27 years of investment experience as a fund manager with Baillie Gifford where he was a partner and Head of the Multi-Asset Team, before his recent retirement.

Patrick Edwardson does not currently hold any shares in the Company. No further information is to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules for Patrick Edwardson.

As referred to in the Chairman's Statement of the Company's 29^th February 2020 Annual Report & Financial Statements, dated 8th June 2020, Sir Laurence Magnus will be stepping down as Chairman and Director of the Company and Sarah MacAulay will succeed him as Chairman. The date for this has now been agreed as 1^st October 2020, to coincide with the appointment of the new Director as referred to above.

Commenting on the appointment of Patrick Edwardson, Sarah MacAulay, the Chairman-elect said:

'Patrick Edwardson has extensive knowledge and experience of investment markets and multi-asset funds.  He is an excellent addition to the Board at a time when the Company is building its track record as a consistent source of dividend yield."
