                    JETCAM announces Shop Floor ExpertTM,

 a new product designed to reduce material wastage and increase machine shop
                                 productivity

JETCAM International announces a new system, Shop Floor Expert, SFE. The
innovative system solves the practical production problems encountered in
sheet metal fabrication.

Controlling the execution of work in sheet metal fabrication job shops is
difficult and error prone. Moreover, there is a growing shortage of skilled
labour and increasing competitive pressures. JETCAM's new product enables the
production manager to specify, often fully automatically, exactly where newly
manufactured components should be placed and the order in which they should be
unloaded. Written messages for instructing operators can also be generated,
all of which information is then disseminated as it arises to the shop floor
by a laser beam system. The SFE system allows the production manager to run
the machine shop largely from a computer terminal and control the movement of
goods and materials without having to spend so much time on the factory floor
itself. At the same time, the techniques involved remove many of the existing
constraints on how jobs are executed, with resultant major savings in
materials and production times.
