Maarten Slendebroek appointed to the Board of
Jupiter Fund Management plc
Jupiter Fund Management plc ("Jupiter", "the Company") is pleased to announce that Maarten Slendebroek has today joined the Board as an Executive Director responsible for Distribution and Strategy.
Maarten, who joined the Company on 3 September 2012, has extensive experience of running cross-border asset management operations from his 25-year career in the investment industry. In this new role, which will report into Edward Bonham Carter, he will build further on Jupiter's increasingly diversified distribution capabilities in the UK and abroad.

Biography
Maarten Slendebroek, who joined Jupiter on 3 September 2012, has worked in the asset management sector since 1994. Before joining Jupiter, he worked as Head of BlackRock's International Retail business and was a member of its Global Operating Committee, Global Client Group's Executive Committee, Leadership Committee and European Executive Committee, as well as a director on a number of BlackRock's UK and Luxembourg entity boards.
Prior to this, Maarten was the head of BlackRock Solutions EMEA region. His career with the firm dates back to 1994, including his years with Merrill Lynch and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. At MLIM, he was head of retail and institutional sales in Continental Europe, Middle East and Africa. Maarten joined Merrill Lynch (Smith New Court) in 1994 as an investment analyst and moved to MLIM in 2000. Earlier in his career, he worked as an investment analyst at Enskilda Securities, Morgan Grenfell and Wesselius.
Maarten Slendebroek who has a dual Dutch / Swedish nationality, earned a law degree (meester in de rechten) from Leiden University in the Netherlands in 1987.
