Karbon Homes Group: RNS announcement

South Tyneside Housing Ventures Trust transfer of engagement completes

Karbon Homes, a housing association that owns and manages over 30,000 properties across the North East of England and Yorkshire, are pleased to announce the successful completion for the transfer of ownership and management of 439 homes from South Tyneside Housing Ventures Trust (STHVT) to Karbon Homes.

It follows extensive consultation with customers and stakeholders in November 2022, which saw overwhelming support for the transfer to Karbon to take place.

The transfer, which legally completed today (Monday 17 July 2023), enables Karbon to deliver services to even more customers but also strengthen our presence in South Tyneside where we already own and manage over 1,200 homes.

Paul Fiddaman, Chief Executive of Karbon Homes, said: "We are delighted to welcome customers from South Tyneside Ventures Trust to the Karbon family. The transfer enables us to provide services to even more customers and generate greater capacity to invest in their homes. We are really excited to work closely with the local community and build strong foundations for more people."
