Board Appointment

Kazera Global plc, the AIM-quoted investment company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Peter Wilson as a non-executive director of the Company.

Mr Wilson has over 42 years of experience in the international mining and mining contract industry and has held senior management positions including General Manager, Director and Chief Operating Officer at a number of mine operating and contracting companies.

During his career, Mr Wilson has worked in multiple jurisdictions including Australia, New Zealand, India, and Africa, and he has experience across a range of commodities including coking coal, heavy mineral sands and metalliferous mining.

More recently, Mr Wilson was engaged as a consultant on a Heavy Mineral Sands project in Namaqualand, South Africa, and is currently Operations Director at Mine2Port Limited, a Singaporean company with interests in coking coal, rail and port logistics projects in Africa and the United States of America.

I n accordance with Rule 17 and Schedule 2, Paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies, Peter Marshall Wilson, aged 64 years, currently has no shareholding in the Company. Peter Marshall Wilson holds, or has held in the past five years, the following directorships, and partnerships:

Mine2Port Limited 

On 2 February 2009, Peter Wilson was appointed as a director of Mineral Management Pty Ltd, a company which over time owned and operated a family restaurant. Mineral Management Pty Ltd went into administration and ceased to trade on 10 June 2018. The liquidator's receipts and payments report dated 17 September 2018 showed an estimated deficiency as regards creditors of AUD$882,549.68, of which AUD$750,000 related to unsecured loans from related parties to support the business. Under the liquidation, no dividend was declared to creditors as the funds realised were distributed, used, or allocated for defraying the expenses of the administration. Mineral Management Pty Ltd was subsequently deregistered by Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) on 30 November 2022 by way of liquidation.

There is no further information to be disclosed in relation to the director appointment pursuant to Rule 17 and Schedule 2, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules.
