KBC verduidelijkt risicoblootstelling aan Lehma...

Gezien de onrust op de beurzen en de onzekerheid door de bezorgdheid
over de Amerikaanse zakenbank Lehman Brothers, wil KBC zijn
risicoblootstelling aan Lehman Brothers verduidelijken.
Deze ochtend bestond de risicoblootstelling van KBC aan Lehman uit:
- Aangekochte obligaties: 145 miljoen euro
- Uitstaande kredietfaciliteiten: 85 miljoen euro (waarvan
30 miljoen gewaarborgd)
Daarnaast houden de onderliggende waarden van de CDO's waarin KBC
belegd heeft, een indirect risico in. Op dit ogenblik worden
stresstests uitgevoerd om de precieze waarde van de Value at Risk te
berekenen. We verwachten dat de impact minder dan 50 miljoen euro zal
bedragen.
Ten slotte heeft KBC een gewaarborgde betalingsverplichting tegenover
Lehman Brothers, naar aanleiding van professionele transacties
(mark-to-marketwaarde van ongeveer 200 miljoen euro).
