Kenmare Resources plc ('Kenmare' or 'the Company') Announcement
Kenmare Issues Tender to Build Moma Titanium Project
Kenmare Resources plc. is pleased to announce that it has issued an Invitation
to Bid (ITB) for the construction and implementation of the Moma Titanium
Minerals Project in Mozambique.
The ITB has been issued to a short list of international contractors who have
the experience and capability to deliver the Moma Titanium Minerals mine and
processing facility. Following adjudication of the various bids, Kenmare expects
to move to final contract with the successful bidder shortly thereafter.
The contract will include all aspects of final engineering and implementation of
the project. The tender documentation envisages a 24 month period from contract
signing to completion of project commissioning and hand over to the Moma Project
operations team.
The tender documentation was prepared by Kvaerner, a global engineering and
construction group, who are acting as client representative for Kenmare on the
project.
Charles Carvill, Kenmare's Chairman said:
'The issue of the Moma ITB is another important advance for the Moma Project.
The selection of an experienced project contractor who will build the mine,
together with the ongoing financing and marketing negotiations, represent key
activities for Kenmare at present.'
