Resignation of a Director

              KENMARE RESOURCES PLC ('Kenmare' or 'the Company')



Mr. Kenneth Judge has today resigned from the Board of Directors of Kenmare
Resources Plc. in order to be able to devote more time to his role as Chairman
of Black Swan Resources Limited, in which Mr Judge's group, Hamilton Capital
Partners, is the largest shareholder.


Black Swan Resources has a number of diamond mining and exploration interests
in Brazil and its shares are quoted on the Toronto Stock Exchange.


Mr Judge has been a non-executive director of Kenmare since January 2000 and
during his time in office, he has made a significant contribution to the
financial and commercial development of the Group.


The Board wishes Ken well and expresses its gratitude for his efforts in
helping to bring the company's Titanium Minerals project through completion of
the Definitive Feasibility Study.
