Kingfisher plc became aware on 26 October 2001 that:
Certain Directors of Kingfisher plc, whose names are set out below,
technically became interested in the following Kingfisher plc ordinary shares
of 13.75p each, which were acquired by the Trustees of the Kingfisher 1993
Employee Share Ownership Plan Trust ('ESOP') (a discretionary trust
established by Kingfisher plc for the benefit of its employees and those of
its subsidiaries):
500,000 shares acquired on 24 Oct 2001 at a price of 348.8 pence
500,000 shares acquired on 25 Oct 2001 at a price of 347.487 pence.
Note: For Companies Act purposes, certain Directors of Kingfisher plc, whose
names are set out below, together with all employees of the Company, are
deemed to have a technical interest in any shares in which the ESOP has an
interest.
