Notification of Major Interests in Shares

Kingfisher plc ('the Company') has today been notified that, pursuant to section
198 of the Companies Act 1985, Lehman Brothers International (Europe) held a
disclosable interest in the ordinary share capital of the Company of 129,124,042
on 6th April 2004, representing 5.54% of the issued share capital of the
Company.

In the same notification, the Company was notified pursuant to section 198 of
the Companies Act 1985 that on 7th April 2004, the interest of Lehman Brothers
International (Europe) in the ordinary share capital of the Company has fallen
below 3%.
