Land Securities Group Employee Benefit Trust

The Company was informed that ACS HR Solutions Share Plan Services (Guernsey) Limited as Trustee of the Land Securities Group Employee Benefit Trust (the 'Trust') purchased on 21 March 2012, 500,000 (five hundred thousand) ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company at an average price of 732.43 pence per share.

The executive directors of the Company, namely Francis Salway, Martin Greenslade, Richard Akers, and Robert Noel are potential beneficiaries of the Trust and are therefore deemed to be interested in shares and dealings thereof.

Following the above transaction, the Trust holds 2,640,223 ordinary shares in the Company representing 0.34 per cent of the Company's issued ordinary shares with voting rights.
