Lansdowne Oil & Gas plc (AIM: LOGP), the North Celtic Sea focused, oil and gas company, notes the announcement today by Providence Resources P.l.c. ("Providence") that, amongst other topics, summarises activities over the past year on Standard Exploration Licence 1/11. This licence contains the Barryroe oil accumulation, where Lansdowne retains a 10% working interest, following a successful farm-out agreement that provides for a full-cost carried firm drilling programme comprising four vertical wells and one horizontal sidetrack, plus the optional drilling of two further horizontal wells. In the last quarter, Providence confirmed that there has been progression on key operational contractual arrangements and that, subject to receipt of standard regulatory consents, the planned multi-well drilling programme is scheduled to commence in Q3 2019.
