Non-Executive Directors Appointed to THE board of directors of London Stock Exchange group plc
London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG) today announces that Sherry Coutu and Joanna Shields will join the LSEG Board as Non-Executive Directors with immediate effect.
These new appointments bring broad international management experience, and in particular, deep knowledge of the information technology sector, reflecting the Group's continued focus on delivering innovative technology solutions to its customers around the world, as well as its on-going commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to find appropriate and sustainable financing solutions.

Sherry Coutu CBE currently serves on the Boards of Cambridge University (Finance Board), Cambridge Assessment, Cambridge University Press, Raspberry Pi, and Artfinder. She also serves on the Advisory Boards of Linkedin.com, Care.com and a number of not-for-profit companies in the technology and education sectors. As a former CEO, angel investor and consultant, Sherry possesses a deep understanding of the dynamics of both business to business and business to consumer businesses and has more than 20 years of experience leveraging technology to drive companies from their earliest entrepreneurial stages through to global expansion.
Joanna Shields OBE was appointed by the Prime Minister in October 2012 as Chairman and CEO of Tech City UK and Business Ambassador for digital industries. Joanna has over twenty five years of experience building global technology businesses, including holding senior executive roles at Facebook, Aol and Google. She has led a number of high growth businesses in the technology sector to successful exits including Bebo and Veon. In 2013, she created the UK government backed 'Future Fifty' acceleration programme to nurture and support high growth businesses in the UK. Joanna serves as a Non-Executive Director of TalkTalk Telecom Group Plc and as a member of Mayor Boris Johnson's London Smart Board.
There are no other matters relating to the new directors which would require disclosure under Listing Rules 9.6.13R.
