STOCK EXCHANGE NOTICE

AMENDMENT TO LIST OF SECURITIES TO BE ADDED TO SETS

1. Following further consultation, the list of securities to be transferred
onto the order book from the start of business on Monday 6 September 1999
contained in Notice N48/99 has been amended. 

2. The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange Limited is
now offering Freeserve plc equity options.  In accordance with the published
criteria for adding securities to the order book, Freeserve plc will be added
to the list.

3. Following recent corporate developments at Inchcape plc, it has been
decided that Inchcape plc will not be transferred onto the order book at this
time.  Inchcape plc will therefore be removed from the list.

4. All of the other information contained in Notice N48/99 remains unchanged.

5. The updated list of securities to be transferred onto the order book is
attached.
