Lookers plc announces further expansion with the acquisition from Mainland
Investments Ltd of Savoy Honda Centre in Warrington, Cheshire.

Lookers has paid £2m for the property and assets of Savoy Honda Centre. The move
takes the number of Honda dealerships within Lookers to six.

Ken Surgenor, Lookers chief executive, said 'Savoy Honda will be a natural fit
with our existing Honda dealerships in Liverpool and Southport and will complete
another important market area for us. It is a strong local business with
excellent, recently redeveloped facilities and a good management team.'

In addition, on Friday 15 August 2003, Lookers completed the disposal of the
property and remaining assets of its former dealership facility on Marton Road,
Middlesbrough for approximately £800,000 cash, resulting in a loss on disposal
of approximately £150,000. The proceeds of the sale will be reinvested in the
Group.
