                          Issue of New Ordinary Shares



The Board of Lowland Investment Company plc announces that 2,149,473 New
Ordinary Shares of 25p each will be issued in connection with the elections of
Greene King loan note holders.

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority to list the New Ordinary
Shares on the Official List. The New Ordinary Shares will be issued at 1126
pence per share to holders of Greene King loan notes who elected to receive the
New Ordinary Shares.

The New Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the existing shares. As a
result of the issue, the Company will have 26,417,427 shares in issue.

Dealings in the New Ordinary Shares are expected to commence at 8 a.m. on 23 May
2007.

Terms used in this announcement shall, unless the context requires otherwise,
bear the same meaning given to them in the Company's circular to shareholders
dated 13 April 2007.
