The  Board of Macfarlane Group PLC announces that  Hamish
Macfarlane will leave the Group at the end of December to
develop a new business initiative.

Hamish  Macfarlane joined the Group in 1981 and became  a
director  in  1985.   John Ward, Chairman  of  Macfarlane
Group,  today said 'On behalf of the Board of  Macfarlane
Group I wish to thank Hamish for his contribution to  the
Group  over the last eighteen years.  Hamish will  remain
with the company until the end of the year and I wish him
every success in his future endeavours.'
