MACFARLANE GROUP TO OUTLINE RESTRUCTURING PROGRAMME

Macfarlane Group PLC announces:

'As disclosed in the Company's interim announcement on 2
September 1999, the strategic review of the Company's
operations is progressing.'


'The Company is now close to completing the detailed phase  
of this review and will announce its findings on Tuesday
7 December 1999.  At that time Macfarlane Group will provide
details of the progress achieved in the restructuring of 
the Company's business into four focused business divisions
together with the costs to be incurred and the benefits to 
be gained from this restructuring.
