The Company have been advised that Mrs G Leates, a Director of the Company,
acquired on 24 July 2001, 20 ordinary shares of 10p each (representing 0.0% of
the issued class of capital) at a price of 307p each. The shares were acquired
through a dividend re-investment, and are held in the Corporate ISA Scheme.
Furthermore on 18 September 2001, Mrs Leates acquired 3 ordinary shares of 10p
each (representing 0.0% of the issued class of capital) at a price of 270p
each. These shares were acquired through a re-investment of tax deducted from
dividends and are also held in the Corporate ISA Scheme.
