Additional Information:
Mr Davis holds awards in respect of 127,871 shares and 32,427 matching shares
under the Performance Share Plan.  He also holds matching awards over 136,308
shares which were granted under the Group's Coinvestment Plan prior to his
appointment as a director.

Furthermore, notification is given pursuant to Chapter 16.13 of the Listing
Rules, that on 29th March 2001 the interests of the E D & F Man Group 1990
Employee Trust ('the Employee Trust'), registered in the name of E D & F Man
Employee Investments (Jersey) Limited a/c 13071, in the share capital of the
Company have been reduced by 113,661 shares to 1,468,381 shares as a result of
the transfer of 113,661 ordinary shares to various beneficiaries of the
Employee Trust Share Option Scheme established by the Employee Trust for the
benefit of full time employees of the company (or any subsidiary).  The
exercise price payable to the Employee Trust for the options granted under the
Scheme is 140p per ordinary share.

Executive directors of the company are deemed to be interested in the
1,468,381 shares held by the Employee Trust and the 421,000 shares over which
the Employee Trust holds a security interest.
