Results of placing of new ordinary shares in Man Group plc ('Man')
Further to this morning's announcement relating to the placing in connection
with the acquisition of RMF, Man Group plc confirms that 20.3 million new
ordinary shares have today been successfully placed by Merrill Lynch
International through an Accelerated Global TenderSM. The placing price has been
set at 900 pence per share, raising gross proceeds for Man Group plc of £182.7
million. The new ordinary shares will be credited as fully paid and will rank
pari passu in all respects with Man's existing ordinary shares.
Application has been made for the new ordinary shares to be admitted to the
Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to be admitted to trading by the
London Stock Exchange on its market for listed securities. It is expected that
admission will become effective and dealings will commence on Thursday 30th May
2002.
