Marks & Spencer PLC
23 May 2000
Marks & Spencer Chairman, Luc Vandevelde, today announced changes to allow the

technology and logistics, have resigned from the Board effective 19 July 2000
and will be leaving the Company.
Barry Morris, executive director, womenswear, has resigned from the Board
effective 19 July 2000, and continues as Business Unit Director for
womenswear.

property man and helped develop an unrivalled portfolio of store locations.
He has made a great contribution to the business over 27 years, and we all
thank Roger and wish him well for the future.'
'Joe Rowe has played a key part in developing both our clothing and food
businesses during his 25 years with the Company. I would like to thank him,
