The following information is given subsequent to the announcement made on 10 October 2011 that Miranda Curtis is to be appointed a Non-Executive Director of Marks and Spencer Group plc on 1 February 2012.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) of the Listing Rules, Miranda Curtis has advised that she is currently a non-executive director of Liberty Global Inc and National Express Group plc.  Miranda has also advised that within the last five years she was a director of Jupiter Telecommunications Co.Ltd, known as J:COM ( listed on JASDAQ in Japan).  Miranda ceased being a director of this company in April 2010.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Listing Rules, she has advised that she has no details to disclose.
