Change of Auditor - 22 September 2015

Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc ("the Company") is pleased to announce that, following the completion of a formal tender exercise, Ernst & Young LLP ("Ernst & Young") has been appointed as the Company's auditor with immediate effect.

As set out in the 2015 annual report, the Audit Committee decided to undertake a formal audit tender process following the change of auditor of its management company.  The Audit Committee prefers not to have the same auditors as those of the management company.

The appointment of Ernst & Young follows a recommendation to the Board by the Audit Committee following the completion of the formal tender process.
