Appointment of a new non-executive director

The board of Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Gillian Watson as a non-executive director of the company, with effect from 1 April 2013.   

Gillian has extensive operating, strategic and financial expertise across a range of industries.

Gillian is the Chief Executive Officer of Giltech Limited, a life science company, specialising in advanced biomaterials. She currently sits on the boards of Scottish Enterprise and Ayrshire and Arran National Health Service.

The company confirms that there are no further matters to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.11 to 9.6.14 of the Listing Rules.
