Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc, on 24 January 2013, bought back 26,521 ordinary shares at a price of 147.03p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 113,623 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 104,439,548 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
