On 3 August 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 29,890 ordinary shares at a price of 201.5p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,888,385 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,694,817 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
