On 18 May 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 7,955 ordinary shares at a price of 175.69p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,277,115 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,306,087 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
