On 11 January 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 20,115 ordinary shares at a price of 229.94p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,834,252 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,748,950 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
