On 29 June 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 30,000 ordinary shares at a price of 188.18p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,235,111 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 98,348,091 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
