Directors' shareholding



PMI has been advised by a director, Sir Patrick McNair-Wilson, that his
shareholding, held through Perry Nominees Limited, has been understated by 300
shares since the acquisition of those shares on 16 March 1998.  The Company
wishes to clarify that the interests of Sir Patrick McNair-Wilson are 2,400
shares (0.0007% of  the issued class)  and not 2,100 shares, as previously
recorded.
