Comment on press speculation and trading
The Board of Photo-Me International plc ('PMI') notes the recent press
speculation regarding future ownership of the Company. Consistent with its
long term commitment to maximisation of shareholder value, the Board is
exploring the possible sale of parts of the Group's business. This process is
still at an early stage, and shareholders will be updated as appropriate.
At the AGM on 20 September 2001, the Board referred to the difficulty of being
confident about immediate prospects, given the worldwide increase in negative
economic sentiment. Since 11 September 2001, PMI has experienced a slow down
in its photobooth operations and a reduction in its manufacturing order book.
PMI's continuing ability to report results for the year ending 30 April 2002
in line with market expectations is dependent on the timely receipt of
manufacturing orders. However, the Board continues to believe that, with its
new digital technologies, the Group is well placed for the future.
