  COMPLETION OF THE ACQUISITIONS OF THE DYNACAST GROUP AND THE MCKECHNIE GROUP

Further to the announcement of 21 April 2005, Melrose PLC is pleased to announce
the successful completion of the acquisitions of the Dynacast Group and the
McKechnie Group. The enlarged share capital of 257,119,989 ordinary shares have
been admitted to AIM and commenced trading with effect from 8.00 a.m. this
morning.
