The Merchants Trust plc
As recommended by the AIC, with effect from 1 June 2008, net asset values are calculated on both a capital and a cum-income basis.
The Merchants Trust PLC announces that at close of business on 11 February 2010:
1) based on the book value of the company's long term debt and preference shares, the capital net asset value per ordinary share was 359.69p.
2) based on the market value of the company's long term debt and preference shares, the capital net asset value per ordinary share was 343.28p.
3) based on the book value of the company's long term debt and preference shares, the cum-income net asset value per ordinary share was 363.70p.
4) based on the market value of the company's long term debt and preference shares, the cum-income net asset value per ordinary share was 347.29p.
The market values of the company's long term debt are updated monthly and are based on prices estimated by Evolution Securities.
