E-DISTRICT.NET PLC
RELATIONSHIP FORMED WITH E-LICIOUS
E-district.net plc ('e-district'), the AIM-quoted owner and
developer of LeisureDistrict.net, a leading interactive family
entertainment and community channel, has signed a partnership
agreement with e-licious, a leading recipe site on the web .
Under the terms of the agreement e-licious will take core data
and deliver it in an iTV compliant format and will then
distribute it across all its distribution platforms.
E-District will then sell advertising and sponsorship space
and stand to keep 65% of all advertising revenues.
The agreement has been formed for a minimum of 12 months.
The content from e-licious significantly enhances
LeisureDistrict's library activity where there is a category
that allows users to submit their own recipes and look at
others.
This latest agreement follows recent announcements which
included a UK distribution agreement with Cable & Wireless
Communications plc, a sharp growth in registered users and
page impressions in the first quarter of 2000 and an
interactive digital production agreement with Unity Pictures.
Steve Laitman, e-district's Chief Executive said :
'e-licious is a perfect relationship addition to E-District's
family entertainment and community channel. e-licious is a
prime example of the type of information that E-District,
through its many recent interactive TV alliances, is looking
to deliver.'
