This disclosure relates to a transaction of which notification is required under paragraph 3.1.2 of the Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules.

On 1 October 2013, Simon Cope exercised an option over 6,283 shares granted under the Mitchells & Butlers plc Sharesave Scheme grant dated 25 June 2008, at an exercise price of 259p per share.  The resulting shares were retained.

Following this transaction, Simon Cope holds a total of 7,649 ordinary shares in Mitchells & Butlers plc.
