Board Appointment
Mitchells & Butlers plc confirms that Jeremy Townsend has today been appointed
as executive Finance Director of the Company.
Jeremy Townsend, who is 44, joined the Company in June 2005 as Deputy Finance
Director. He was previously employed by J Sainsbury plc where he held various
finance roles including Group Financial Controller, Corporate Finance Director
and Strategy Director. Prior to Sainsbury's, he was employed by Ernst & Young
working in audit and corporate finance. Jeremy is a Fellow of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
The Company confirms that there is no further information about Jeremy Townsend
requiring disclosure under paragraph 9.6.13 (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules of
the UK Listing Authority.
