                      MITIE Group PLC - Directorate Change

In the MITIE Group PLC 2007 Annual Report it was announced that Colin Acheson,
Director responsible for Engineering Services, would be retiring in March 2008.

Divisional management responsibilities for MITIE Engineering Services have now
been successfully transitioned to its new Managing Director, Mike Tivey, who has
worked in the Engineering Services Division for over 13 years. Colin Acheson has
therefore now relinquished the chairmanship of MITIE Engineering Services and
has also resigned as a Director of MITIE Group PLC with effect from 3 October
2007.

Colin will continue to support the Engineering Services Division until his
retirement from MITIE in March 2008.
