Appointment of Chief Operating Officer and trading update
Appointment of Ruby McGregor-Smith as Chief Operating Officer
MITIE is pleased to announce that it has today appointed Ruby McGregor-Smith as
Chief Operating Officer of MITIE. She will report directly to Ian Stewart who
continues as Chief Executive.
Ruby joined MITIE in 2002 as the Group Finance Director. In addition to the
above position, she will continue in her role as Group Finance Director until a
successor is appointed. The Company has already commenced the recruitment
process.
Commenting on the appointment, Ian Stewart Chief Executive said, 'Ruby has
excellent background experience to fulfil this role and I am delighted that she
has accepted this challenge which the Board has put to her'.
Trading Update
MITIE is pleased to confirm that it has had a positive start to its financial
year achieving strong organic growth and that it continues to trade in line with
management's expectations. Market conditions remain favourable.
The interim results for the period ending 30 September 2005 will be reported
under International Financial Reporting Standards ('IFRS'). We do not expect
the impact to be materially different from that indicated in the 2005 Annual
Report and Accounts.
MITIE will report more fully when it announces its interim results for the six
months ending 30 September 2005 on Monday 28 November 2005.
