MITIE appoints Crawford Gillies as Non-Executive Director

MITIE Group PLC ("MITIE"), the FTSE250 strategic outsourcing and energy services company, is delighted to announce the appointment of Crawford Gillies as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from today.

His biographical details are as follows:

Crawford Gillies enjoyed a highly successful executive career with the strategic management consultancy Bain & Company over 25 years, becoming a partner in 1988 and subsequently assuming leadership of the firm's European business from 2001 until he stepped down at the end of 2005. He has since forged a varied and successful portfolio career.

He is currently Chairman of Scottish Enterprise, a non-executive director of Standard Life PLC and Chairman of Control Risks Group Holdings Limited, an independent specialist risk consultancy, and Member of the Advisory Board of the School for CEOs.

Crawford will add considerable experience to the MITIE Board particularly in relation to his breadth of strategic insight and global perspective. Crawford will also be a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. It is confirmed that there are no details to be disclosed pursuant to LR 9.6.13 R (1) to (6) and Crawford Gillies does not currently hold any shares in the Company.
