                 Notification of substantial shareholding

MITIE has today received notification that FMR Corp. and Fidelity International
Limited and their direct and indirect subsidiaries have notifiable
non-beneficial interests in 45,576,170 Ordinary Shares of 2.5p each in MITIE,
which represents 15.04% of the issued share capital of MITIE. This is an
increase of 173,423 shares in their holding since their last notification. The
notifiable interests also comprise the notifiable interest of Mr Edward C
Johnson 3rd, a principal shareholder of FMR Corp. and Fidelity International
Limited.
