MITIE awarded transformational outsourcing contract with Diageo

MITIE Group PLC (MITIE), the strategic outsourcing and energy services company, has been awarded a three plus two year contract with the world's leading premium drinks business, Diageo.

MITIE will work with Diageo to provide integrated facilities management (FM) and hospitality services throughout its entire UK and Irish property portfolio.

The services will be delivered at over 70 sites across the UK and Ireland including all the client's manufacturing, packaging and distillery sites, and its global headquarters.

With a base contract value of £16m per annum and up to £3m of project works to be undertaken each year in addition to this, the potential total value over the period will range from £80m to £95m.

MITIE has been providing integrated FM to Diageo's Irish operations since it acquired Dalkia FM in Ireland in June 2010.

The decision to award this transformational contract to MITIE followed a strategic review by our client, which has enabled a move to a fully integrated, self-delivered outsourcing model across the UK and Ireland.  MITIE sets itself apart with its international coverage, technology platform and energy services capabilities, all of which were tailored to meet Diageo's unique requirements.
