                   National Express Group plc (the 'Company')

                               Additional Listing

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the admission of
13,503,600 ordinary shares of 5p each in National Express Group plc to the
Official List, and to the London Stock Exchange for these securities to be
admitted to trading. It is expected that admission will be granted on 1st
December 2005 and that dealings will commence the same day. The application is
being made to satisfy the consideration of shares for the acquisition of Alsa
announced earlier this year.
