Mobile Streams and IGS officially announce the Besiktas PUBG Mobile Open competition
Mobile Streams plc and International Gaming Systems AB (IGS) are proud to officially announce the dates for the first Esports competition under the partnership agreement announced on 13 January 2022. The Besiktas PUBG Mobile Open will be held on the weekends of 18-20 and 25-27 February 2022.
The Besiktas PUBG Mobile Open will commemorate the 4th year anniversary of the launch of Tencent's PlayerUnknown BattleGrounds (PUBG) Mobile - a Battle Royale mobile game with over 1 billion downloads to date. Along with being its owner, Tencent is a Chinese media giant and also owns a range of other assets including WeChat and Riot Games.
The esports orgs and team participants will be announced later this week.
Mobile Streams will live stream video on demand coverage of the competition through its gaming community platform at mobilegaming.com globally as well as through its international mobile network connections. Other channels include, but are not limited to, YouTube, Nimo TV and Besiktas' various streaming channels. The competition will be hosted by the Severnik - a local Turkish tournament hosting company with established ties with Tencent.
Firat Fidan, Board Member of Besiktas JK, said:
