Announcement of Interim Dividends
The Company has today declared a fourth interim dividend in respect of the year
ending 30 April 2007 of 1.45p net (2006 n/a) per Ordinary 25p share which will
be payable on 4 June 2007 to Ordinary shareholders on the register on 27 April
2007, provisional ex dividend date 25 April 2007.
In accordance with the intention stated in the C Share Prospectus dated 13
February 2007, the Company has also declared a special dividend in respect of
the period ending 30 April 2007 of 0.4p net per C Share of 100p (2006 0.75p
special dividend per C Share in issue at that time) which will be payable on 4
June 2007 to C Shareholders on the register on 27 April 2007, provisional ex
dividend date 25 April 2007. This special dividend represents the net income
that has accrued on the C Share pool of assets up to the scheduled Conversion
Date.
The C Shares are not entitled to the fourth interim dividend payable to the
Ordinary shareholders. However, on the assumption that the C Shares convert
into New Ordinary shares at 6.00 p.m. on 27 April 2007, holders of both classes
of shares will rank pari passu in respect of the dividend for the quarter ending
31 July 2007.
