New Board Appointment Announcement

Midas Income and Growth Trust plc (the "Company") announces that Richard Ramsay has been appointed a director of the Company with effect from 2 April 2013. Richard Ramsay is currently chairman of Redstone plc and was a director of Artemis AIM VCT and Xploite plc, resigning from both companies in 2009.  He is also chairman of Wolsey Group Limited, Northcourt Ltd, and URICA Finance and a director of Castle Trust plc, all unlisted companies.

Artemis AIMVCT plc underwent a members voluntary winding up in 2009 as part of an agreed merger with Artemis AIM VCT2.

The Company confirms that there is no further information to be disclosed under LR 9.6.13 R.
