The Company was today (7 June 2001) informed that Aberdeen Asset Managers
Limited, as a result of an acquisition by its parent company of the investment
management activities of Life Assurance Holding Corporation Limited (which
transaction was announced on 12 April 2001 and completed on 1 June 2001), have
acquired 250,000 shares of Taverners Trust PLC.
The total number of shares now managed by Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited and
its associated companies is 2,575,000 Ordinary 25p shares, representing 16.16%
of the issued share capital.
The breakdown is as follows:
Aberdeen High Income Trust PLC 650,000 4.08%
Aberdeen Prolific UK Growth Unit Trust 1,500,000 9.41%
Aberdeen Prolific Fund of Investment Trusts 175,000 1.10%
Aberdeen Prolific Extra Income Unit Trust 0 0.00%
LAHC Non-Linked Funds 250,000 1.57%
